Thanks! :) Yeah, salt goes exceptionally well with watercolours. Very versatile, too.

I might try something of the sort, do you have any recommendations on how to apply it?

Well, what I do is this: I apply some watercolour paint on a paper, and then, while the paint is still wet (this is important because the salt only works when the paint is wet), I sprinkle salt on it. I usually use rough sea salt, but you can use regular cooking salt, as well. You just get a different effect. I think I may have used cooking salt in this painting. After you've applied the salt, you need to let the painting dry for at least several hours, preferably overnight, and then scrape as much of the salt off as you want. That's pretty much it. Experiment, and you'll find your own way of using it. :)
